SPRING CHORAL CONCERT

A concert to remember!

Upon arriving at the concert the audience seemed very excited.  When the choir director, Annie Spain, introduced the show the students lined up on the risers. The sixth graders performed a few numbers including a fun, energetic rendition of ABC by “The Jackson 5.”  Then came the seventh graders who performed “The Circle of Life” from The Lion King.  Afterwards The Women’s Ensemble gave a sassy performance of “Respect.”  Then the men followed with “Just the Way You Are.”  Next came the 8th grade choir with a sentimental performance of “For Good” from the tony award winning broadway musical, Wicked.  Finally the whole choir came out and performed a rocking Queen medley.  It was a very fun and enjoyable concert and is definetly a concert to be remembered.

Stand Out Performers

Lily S.

This powerful young performer belted out an amazing and sassy solo in Aretha Franklin’s “Respect.”  When the little singer stepped up to the microphone I didn’t except to hear such a powerful voice resonate from the petite performer. Even though it was a short solo a huge amount of sass was packed in it.

Taylor S.

Taylor gave an emotional solo performance in “For Good.”  She sang with lots of heart and obviously had a great time.  Upon arriving at the microphone she looked very excited to perform and gave a great and sentimental performance.

Men’s Ensemble

The Men’s Ensemble is a group composed of the male 6th and 7th grade choir students.  At this concert they performed a group rendition of Bruno Mars’ “Just The Way You Are.”  The song was off to a good start with multiple solos.  Then technical difficulties came along.  The microphones gave a lot of feedback, but that was no problem for The Men’s Ensemble. They performed without microphones and still gave a great performance.
